Volunteer and Fundraising Requirements - Spring 2023 Season SYB wanted to remind each of our families of the volunteer and fundraising requirements for this season. This is a volunteer run organization that prides itself on maintaining comparatively low cost registration and financial assistance so that all families in our community can access America’s Pastime in the Granite State. By asking each family to contribute to our volunteering and fundraising efforts, it allows this league to thrive and contribute to the physical and mental well-being of our kids.
If you have any questions about the requirements for your family or would like to offer further assistance, please contact
Fundraising Director: Lisa Ward (
) or
Volunteer Coordinator: Arianne Buckley (

VOLUNTEER AND FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH SYB FAMILY
Volunteering: 4 hours per player (6 hours for a family with multiple players)
Fundraising: 2 hour “tag day” canning per player + Calendar sales, minimum of 5 $10 calendars being required
Additional information will follow through out the season on ways to complete volunteer hours, including assisting in the block house (snack shack) and field maintenance and preperation.
Bambino & Challenger do not have these requirements but can have opportunities to volunteer and fundraise at their request
VOLUNTEER AND FUNDRAISING DEPOSIT CHECKS
SYB is collecting 2 checks prior to the season, per player:
-
$50 per player (no family max) for minimum mandatory Calendar sales (this payment is in exchange for 5 calendar raffle tickets, additional calendars will be available for sale in-season);
-
$200 per player ($300 per family) for Volunteer/Fundraising commitments (tag day + volunteering hours). This check will be returned on completion of commitments during the season.
To receive their players uniform a family must provide their fundraising and volunteer deposit checks.
There will be multiple opportunities to turn in your checks prior to the start of the season:
-
Evaluations: All Farm, Minors and Majors families are asked to bring their checks to evaluation check-in as the first and BEST opportunity to complete this goal.
-
Tag Day: All TBall, Farm, Minors, Majors families can bring their checks when they pick up their can or drop off their can (2 opportunities in a single day!) or any time that SYB is at Michelle Park that weekend facilitating tag day activities.
-
Uniform pick-up day: Last chance to hand in check, uniforms can only be distributed to families who have submitted their fundraising and volunteer deposit checks.
SYB has opportunities to assist with financial hardship concerns. Please contact
to request further information.
