Tag Weekend (Canning) Information - March 24 - 26 2023

We wanted to provide a summary of how to plan and what to expect for your time:

  • Start your tag day experience by going to Michele Park on Lawrence Road, 20 minutes prior to your respective canning time to check in and pick up your "tag day" canister.

  • After you have your canister, you can proceed to your assigned location where your player will stand outside and collect donations for Salem Youth Baseball.

  • Once your 2-hour slot has ended, please come back to Michele Park to return your canister with your collected donations.

New for 2023: Digital Payment Option! No longer can innocent bystanders look at our players and claim “no cash, sorry”, because on each canister there will be a QR code and a Venmo account for quick and easy donations of any denomination.

Some things to remember about your child's tagging hours:

Please have your player wear Salem Youth Baseball attire. If you are new to SYB or have outgrown prior years attire, please have them wear a baseball hat and shirt, if possible. We will also have some SYB attire at Michele Park to wear while canning.

  • Please supervise your child(ren) at your designated location at all times.

  • All money collected will go to fund our baseball programs including uniforms, equipment, and field maintenance.

  • If you have not yet turned in your volunteer check and calendar raffle payment, we will accept them at Michele Park when you are picking up or dropping of your can.  After this weekend, the only other time available to provide these will be at uniform pick-up.  To receive their players uniform a family must provide their fundraising and volunteer deposit checks.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Arianne Buckley (arianne1220@gmail.com).

Thank you from the Salem Youth Baseball Board

Volunteer and Fundraising Requirements - Spring 2023 Season

SYB wanted to remind each of our families of the volunteer and fundraising requirements for this season.  This is a volunteer run organization that prides itself on maintaining comparatively low cost registration and financial assistance so that all families in our community can access America’s Pastime in the Granite State. By asking each family to contribute to our volunteering and fundraising efforts, it allows this league to thrive and contribute to the physical and mental well-being of our kids.

If you have any questions about the requirements for your family or would like to offer further assistance, please contact

Klemm’s Mobil Tuscan - March Car Wash Fundraiser

Klemm's Mobil at Tuscan (across from the mall) will be donating proceeds to SYB from all car washes in March. March is the busiest car wash month and SYB receives proceeds from each car wash all month long.  We ask that you please support this local business for all your car wash needs this March and pass the word along to family and friends.  This is a true win-win for the SYB community.

Thank you!
