Online registration is now open for Salem Youth Baseball’s 2023 Spring Season!
Our program will stress fundamental baseball in a positive atmosphere where the main goals are learning the game, having fun, and strengthening the values of good citizenship and good sportsmanship. Players Ages 3 to 14 will have the opportunity to enjoy America’s favorite pastime.
IMPORTANT DATES
January 10, 2023: Registration Opens
February 10, 2023: Early Bird Discount Ends
March 10, 2023: Registration Closes
March 11, 2023: Try-Outs for Little League Divisions (Farm, Minors, Majors, Intermediate/Babe Ruth) followed by team drafts and practice schedules in mid to late March.
April 15, 2023: Opening Day (weather permitting)
FEES & DISCOUNTS
Bambino: $55 per player
T-Ball: $85
All Other Divisions (Little League): $125
Challenger: Free of charge for Spring 2023 season
Early Bird Discount: $10 off each registration if completed before February 10, 2023 (early bird is not applicable to Bambino fees)
Multiplayer Family Discount: $50 off your second Little League Division player in the same payment for the same family, with a maximum amount of $300 for all players in the same payment for the same family.
In addition to the fees at registration, each player and their family are required to participate in volunteering and fundraising which are critical to the continued success of the SYB Little League program and help maintain upfront registration fees.
At tryouts, or uniform pick-up day prior to the start of the season, a $200 volunteer check will be collected ($300 for a family with multiple players) for all players except Bambino. The check will be returned on completion of volunteer and fundraising participation.
*** New for 2023: An additional $50 fundraising check will be collected per player for calendar sales. There will be only 1 calendar raffler and fundraiser this year. Additional information found below.
Volunteer and fundraising checks must be handed in to receive your uniform for the season.

COACHING, VOLUNTEERING & FUNDRAISING
Coaching at any level is appreciated and will qualify for your families required volunteer hours. We ask that all potential coaches complete the "Coach" section when registering their players so that the league can coordinate communication as the season approaches.

Volunteering will be required and available for all families. This includes field maintenance, concession stand operations, game day needs and various duties available throughout the season. 4 hours per player (6 hours for a family with multiple players) will be required to receive your volunteer check back.

Fundraising will include 1 calendar raffle provided at uniform pick-up, with a minimum of 5 $10 calendars being required to sell. Each player will also have a 2 hour “tag day” canning requirement near the start of the season, with registration and time slots available as the season approaches.
